This school project gave me the opportunity to reinterpret the book “Det Felles Eide,” a collection of texts from various authors about art in public spaces.
I used the front cover to illustrate the “Public Space” that exists between and within buildings. I incorporated some old passepartout cutouts from my time as a framing worker, combining them with blue paper sheets in a scanner. The image gains a nice texture from this process.
In working on the book, I experimented with the footnotes, transforming them into side notes. I adjusted the layout to accommodate the longest footnote on a single page. The images were of low quality, so I chose to present them in black and white alongside the footnotes.
