Dette skriftprosjektet, utforsker den kalligrafiske stilen fra «The Book of Kells» skrevet på 800-tallet. Ved å studere skriftstilen i det historiske verket, har jeg utforsket hvordan munkene lekte med å strekke og klemme bokstavene. Gjennom eksperimentering med skanneren har jeg manipulert teksten på uforutsigbare måter som også strekker og klemmer sammen teksten.

Resultatet av dette prosjektet er en serie plakater som tydelig går i stil med inspirasjonskilden, men også utforsker hvordan teknologiske verktøy kan utforme samme ideen på en ny måte.

This writing project explores the calligraphic style from “The Book of Kells” written in the 9th century. By studying the handwriting style in this historical work, I have delved into how the monks played with stretching and squeezing the letters. Through experimentation with the scanner, I have manipulated the text in unpredictable ways that also stretch and compress the text.

The result of this project is a series of posters that clearly align with the source of inspiration, but also explore how technological tools can shape the same idea in a new way.
